I was told that even canceling in advance would result in a $50 charge. At that point, the policy had magically changed from “no-show fee” to “any cancellation fee,” which makes no sense.…here is what happened After I called to inquire, no one answered the phone—but I immediately started receiving multiple text messages demanding a $10 deposit, even though I was working all day and did not have time to respond or prepay. Later in the afternoon (around 3pm), they began calling me repeatedly, nonstop, until I finally picked up. A woman with a Chinese accent told me that because it was my first visit, I had to pay a $10 deposit. When I said I wasn’t comfortable with that and might skip the appointment, she suddenly changed her tone and told me to come at 6pm anyway. During the same call, she warned me that if I made the appointment and didn’t show up without notice, I would be charged $50, which I actually understand—that’s standard in many places. However, around 4:30–5:00pm (more than an hour before the appointment), I realized I couldn’t make it and texted them to cancel. That’s when things became unreasonable. After I refused, they continued sending messages and repeatedly calling me, to the point where I eventually had to block the number. I can’t comment on the quality of their nail services because I never made it that far—but the communication, pressure tactics, and constantly changing rules were a huge red flag. Just a heads-up for others: If you value clear policies, reasonable communication, and not being bombarded with calls and texts, you may want to think twice.

The staff are very friendly and professional. The salon is clean and relaxing, and they really take their time to do a good job. I’m very happy with my nails — the shape and color are perfect. Prices are reasonable and the service is great. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to my friends!

Had a really good experience here. The staff was friendly and took their time to make sure everything was done carefully. I showed them a photo of what I wanted and the result came out very close, with clean edges and nice details. The place was clean and comfortable, and the whole process felt relaxed. My nails still look great after days of wear. I’d definitely come back and recommend this place.

Worst worst experience ever. Messed up my nails. Non transparent pricing. I booked the appointment three weeks in advance and received a text confirmation, but when I arrived, I was told that my appointment had been given to someone else. Avoid this place.

I used to come here until I moved closer to SF. The ladies here are all kind and do an amazing job with nail prep and Asian nail styles.
The salon also has great customer service. When some gemstones sadly fell off, they helped reglue it. When other ones fell off later, they added a credit to my account. Although I was disappointed with things falling off (only happened for 1 set), I thought they handled this issue very well and were kind and professional.
If you like this salon I recommend getting their package because it will reduce your cost per set. :)
Paint nail salon you should open another location in San Mateo/Burlingame area 🤣 I would go!

These ladies were wonderful! I got a gel manicure and pedicure and asked for nail art and she made it look just like the picture!! I love it so much. I don't get my nails done regularly and this was well needed and a huge improvement. My cuticles are always very dry and I pick the skin around my nails so my thumb nails were in need of serious help. Thank you so much!

Best chinese new year design manicure i have ever got! love those traditional chinese elements，冰糖葫芦 and 舞狮。 I told the manicurist to improvise based on the theme of “spring festival” and she did an amazing job! Her name is Angela and i highly recommend her if anyone is looking for complex nail art.
