Had a 90 minute massage at Paseo de Saratoga the evening of June 2. By the next morning I had significant muscle discomfort. By the second day I was admitted to a hospital with high fever and an infection that was diagnosed as cellulitis from a staph bacteria exposure. It is highly likely that I was exposed to the staph bacteria during my massage. I never had this experience before but will avoid this massage envy location in the future.

If you are looking for therapeutic deep tissue massage, Valerie is amazing. She doesn't go easy on those knots and stiff spots, so sometimes I am bruised and sore for a few days, but it's worth it. I'm making progress unlocking my back, shoulders, and arms, and deep tissue massage from Valerie is a big part of that!

I have been going here regularly for about a year and it has been consistently great. The massages really help with both relaxation and pain relief. They understand where the pain points are and focus on them.

I’m extremely disappointed with Massage Envy’s deceptive and coercive tipping practices.
My wife has been a loyal member, paying $70 per massage. However, we recently found out that the tip suggestions on the payment screen are calculated based on the $150 non-member rate, not the $70 she actually paid. This misleading setup resulted in her unknowingly tipping 20% of $150—$30 per visit instead of $14.
Over just 7 visits, she tipped a total of $174, when a fair 20% tip based on her actual payment would’ve only been $98. That’s a $76 difference—all due to a dishonest interface designed to manipulate well-meaning customers.
To make things worse, the front desk staff asks for gratuity directly after each session. This is completely inappropriate. Tipping should always be voluntary—not something clients feel pressured or guilted into. People like my wife, who are kind and have trouble saying no, are especially vulnerable to this kind of subtle coercion.
Massage Envy needs to seriously re-evaluate its approach: • Tips should reflect the member pricing actually paid • Staff should not be asking for gratuity—ever
Until these practices are addressed, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. If you’re a member, double-check your receipts and always enter your tip manually. You may be overpaying without even realizing it.
Do better.

I can't speak for the other therapist because I followed my massuse to this location. I drive an hour to see Andy and he is so worth it. Highly recommend.
