Sonny, the owner and main artist at Ink Now in San Jose, is probably one of the most talented tattoo artists I know. From freestyle to traditional, he’s done a lot of my tattoos, and every time I leave more than happy with the results. His skill, attention to detail, and creativity make this the place to go if you want your ink done right. The shop has a professional and comfortable vibe, and you can tell Sonny takes pride in his work. Highly recommend for anyone serious about quality tattoos.

Sonny is friendly and the shop is clean. I walked in on a Monday and he had an opening for me the following Saturday. No crazy months long waitlist and he didn’t rush on the consult/artwork time.
Will be returning soon for a second session and I look forward to posting photos of the finished tattoo.

I found this place just by spotting it in the Lion Plaza. I thought it was an odd place to have a shop, but I checked it out online. Sonny does great stuff! It seems his expertise is more so in Japanese style. Nonetheless, I called in and was able to get an appointment for the next day. This was my first tattoo and it was not bad at all. I got it on my upper right back/shoulder and while some parts were harder to handle, overall it was a great experience. The healing process was amazing! My tattoo did get itchy a little (to be expected), but it didn't peel much at all! I thought something was wrong but it's a sign of a good tattoo artist. Sonny's rate I think is very good. It says he takes card on Yelp, but he only takes cash. There's no ATM nearby, so BYO cash.
