About Hardwoods - San Jose
Hardwoods is a business with a long history, offering a wide variety of decorative surfaces to customers across the United States and Canada. However, some customers have reported limited selection and stock issues, particularly with domestic species. Staff assistance may be scarce, and the store layout can be confusing. Decent selection of wood. Very little help. This is not a place to go for individual customers. The one person working the counter was helpful but it’s a “your on your own” type of place.
This is one of the last places right in San Jose to find decent hardwoods, but most pieces need planing, smoothing or milling. So if you don't have a joiner, planer and table saw, stick to Home Depot. And the people at the counter are notorious for being very unhelpful and can be downright rude.
Decent hardwood prices, but selection is limited and they were low in stock on most domestic species.
