He is a fantastic instructor, patient and supportive throughout every lesson, helped me build confidence behind the wheel and took the time to explain everything clearly, step by step. I truly appreciate his guidance and would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive.
Thank you so much, Tom!“

740 W San Carlos St, San Jose“This school is hands down a great school to attend if you're looking to get your commercial driver's license. It's family owned and operated and by the time you've completed the course, you really feel like you've connected with the staff and students as if you were family. From the start of this journey with this school, the owners were super fast at reaching out to get me enrolled and started. They invited my wife and I and my child to come in and enroll which I thought was pretty cool. It allowed my family to see where I would be and what type of environment I would be practicing in. They gave me 30 days to acquire my permit and my medical examination certificate which was plenty of time to study and get started. Within a week I was ready to rock and I started right away. They're patient, welcoming and at the same time on a mission as you are to succeed. One thing I thought was pretty cool was they are stern and it may seem intimidating at first, but let's face it, it's a serious license and responsibility to be on the road with such heavy vehicles so I didn't take it personal. I just strived to get better everyday so they understood that I understood them. They give you the opportunity to work with fellow students so everyone understands the position of the instructors and gives you the feel of what they are trying to accomplish with us as students. Sure it may seem like alot of money to enroll but they have asphalt in the yard and not dirt and potholes so you're smooth with the clutch and level so you can adjust your skills properly. The trucks are newer Freighliner day cabs which I was particularly a fan of with my past experience driving straight truck Freightliners and felt comfortable in. Sure you can goto another school and pay less but are you going to get much time behind the wheel or time in the truck to practice skills with a ton of students because of the price? When it comes down to it, it's what you're trying to accomplish. They give you the trucks and the yard to practice in and the directions to master the skills, but let's be real, it's on you as the student to take it seriously, pay attention, and take advantage of the time spent there and really do what you need to do, set a date which is a self goal to strive for and get that license and start making good money. They're open Tuesday-Saturday 8am-1:30p to assure they're closed by 2pm. They take students on Saturdays if the week schedule doesn't work for you. It's really a matter of what you want out of it and whether your money is gonna get you what you want. I enjoyed the experience of being watched and taught and having the trust to allow us to all do it without someone constantly on your neck. That's just my personal opinion and preference and everyone I attended with felt the same way. We worked together as students after being given direction to accomplish one goal, to be a commercial truck driver. Keep an open mind, don't be cocky and act like a know it all, because it won't get you nowhere. The staff are there to teach you and allow you to try on your own and if you don't want to take your skill seriously, then maybe go somewhere else. In just over 8 weeks I believe I completed my course and got my CDL. I appreciate the staff greatly for being patient, kind, encouraging and really believing in me that I could make this move for my family and I couldn't be more greatful. I enjoyed everyday of it. Thank you Helen, Daniel, Mario, Tony and Henry for everything. Proud to say I graduated from Coast to Coast and would and have already recommended this school to friends that are considering getting their CDL.“
“I am very happy with the instruction that my three kids were given by Rick at Blue Ribbon. They successfully passed their DMV road tests and have learned important driving skills. I highly recommend Blue Ribbon to all my friends with teens.“

3590 Cas Dr, San Jose“Beverly Driving School is the absolute best. Mr. Mack helped us when we were in extreme need of a driving session. I was referred to Mack by another driving school. He answered all of my questions and was extremely willing to help. He worked with our schedule and insured that my son was very comfortable. Best of all when my son took his test, he checked in on us to ask if he passed. He was extremely happy to know that my son passed his drivers test and is now a licensed driver. What’s best is you can honestly tell that he is passionate about his work, and really cares about his students, thank you Mac“

“Overall, I think my experience with A-Z was pretty decent. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful. My first lesson with Katie was pretty good. She was very helpful, and she me feel comfortable driving for the first time. She also left some insightful comments on my score sheet so that I could improve my driving skills. My second instructor was Wassim(who I think was the owner). I must say he is very knowledgeable and he wanted to teach me the best driving practices. During my lesson, he was training a new driving coach. But I must say, he was often condescending and passive aggressive . He would often cask me "how do you think you could have done better?" or something like that. I was new to driving, so it made me rather nervous having someone speak to me like that. Also during the lesson, Wassim just randomly asked me to parallel park in a residential area, told me to "think about how to improve" and then just left the vehicle for several minutes. I thought that was rather odd. But I must say, despite all that I've mentioned about him, Wassim did point out various bad driving habits I had and tried to help me improve. As an example I had a hard time handling the steering wheel, my hands didn't cross correctly and sometimes I just kept them fixed when turning. This caused my turns to be too wide. Wassim would spend a lot of time trying to help me improve this, as it was one of the basic skills of driving. He also gave me reminders such as what to check when changing lanes and the most effective way to slow down at a traffic light. So overall, I think Wassim was pretty good, he just made me a little nervous when he was talking at times. My third instructor was OK(I don't remember her name unfortunately). She told me I was doing pretty well, so besides giving me the occasional reminder, she spent much of the lesson on her phone. It was slightly nerve wracking, as I was still pretty new to driving. But she did give some feedback. Overall, I would recommend A-Z driving school. They have pretty good instructors so if you're learning how to drive, you know you're in good hands“
