I ordered a set of custom made cabinets for kitchen, island, bath totaling almost 25K for my new house. The point to get custom cabinets vs ready made ones (which is 1/3 the price) is that the frames are bigger to encompass multiple cabinets, more precise measurement, more precise installation, and quality of the wood. I paid for maple face doors which they told me is from Cal doors. Not only was the cabinets not delivered in time (6-8 weeks), but they refused to install it, measurement was off in multiple places, and now I'm beginning to find out that it's made of MDF not just for the center panel, but its entire face!
