The people here are some of the most kindhearted and earnest people I have ever encountered in the pet world. About a year ago I had moved up to the Portland area, but recently I received a call about one of the feral/stray cats we used to TNR and care for in the neighborhood. He had been hit by a car, and his body was being held at the San Jose Animal Shelter.The thought of this poor animal's final resting place being a landfill was too much to bear. If you are going through this , considering putting your precious pet companion down just know it will never be easy no matter what .I cant compare it to anything else but to loosing a family member and that’s exactly what it is . That being said I can’t imagine going through this experience without the assistance and support of kind , compassionate ,understanding and educated soul such as Dr. Kuty. She made the process so easy and was full of love and compassion and support and understanding throughout the whole process .Dr. Kuty and her support staff are all first class . Dr. Kuty and her staff were incredible. Their kindness and empathy made an awful process so much less awful. Dr. Kuty texted us to let us know when she was on her way, was so respectful and empathetic when she arrived to provide her services and didn't rush us at all, and even texted us to check in a few days later. I would recommend At Home, At Rest to anyone needing compassionate care for their furbaby.
