Went here for a shoulder injury and have not been happy with my experience so far.
As other reviews mentioned, multiple clients are handled at a time. One time it started late and ended early.
The most recent visit I had, the therapist basically asked me what I had showed up for. I thought they’d have something planned for me to do each session. They initially booked me for 4 sessions and it’s obvious there’s no preparation done ahead of time. This most recent session was 20 minutes and the therapist had clearly not come up with anything for me ahead of time instead doing it on the fly.
I chose this place because they were the fastest to get me in as a few patient but now I can see why that’s the case. I’m going to book another place and wait longer to get a physical therapist who actually spends time helping me rather than doing 3 clients at once and barely even pays attention to anything I’m saying.
EDIT: after finding a new physical therapist and going somewhere else, I cannot stand by this review more. The new place I’m going to is night and day better compared to this place. I would highly recommend steering clear and booking anywhere else even if it takes longer

Nicole and Marty are awesome!! I had ACL/ Meniscus surgery on my left knee and went to Ultrahealth for my recovery. They are very detail oriented, passionate about helping people, and knowledgeable. Everyone there is also very kind each day walking in I am greeted with smiles and hellos! The program they designed was very well rounded and I was able to see great progress with my leg. They tend to multiple patients at a time which I really like because it builds community and I was able to meet other people with the same injury. Ultrahealth knows their stuff and really helped me to meet my goals after surgery. If you are an athlete looking to rebuild your body after surgery, injury, etc. this is the place.

I have had an extremely positive experience at Ultrahealth with Lindsay and Ralph. I had a very serious knee injury (complete ACL tear and bucket handle meniscus tear) and came to Ultrahealth for postoperative PT. Through their diligence to my care I have recovered well enough to hike Mt Whitney and run a half marathon. I have subsequently come back to them for minor issues and successfully healed my injuries. I find scheduling to be easy and the costs to be reasonable. they take also take workers comp!

I can't recommend Ultrahealth highly enough. They have done an incredible job mending my torn Achilles. Following the onset of the tear in 2025, I spent an initial two months in a boot, which unfortunately did not facilitate healing. In fact, I developed additional complications throughout my atrophied foot. My orthopedist's office passed me to physical therapy, and my initial PT routine with another office was mildly effective. After switching to Ultrahealth, I started seeing results in strength, flexibility, and pain reduction within two to three weeks. My PT, Marty, used her extensive experience to design my routine. In addition to Marty is an invaluable team of professionals who provide additional insights through their collaboration. I found the open environment to be one of the most valuable experiences at Ultrahealth: it's clear the entire staff like and support each other, and their camaraderie creates a very positive setting where I've seen many clients feel motivated. I look forward to my PT sessions. Additionally, John does a fantastic job running the operations. The location is very convenient to anyone on a Bart or Muni line.

My 1st session of what I originally planned as a 6 week program is all it took to know I cannot entrust my post surgery rehab in this place.
I already had few sessions with another facility that is 25 minute drive away but because this was closest to home, I thought I could give it a try. However, I decided to get driven 25-30 minutes 2-3x a week than to go back here.
I believe the people are kind but the place needs better operations management and system to address the issues that impact patient experience who deserve attention and professional care.
Attending to more people per PT and squeezing people in impact the quality of care.
1. Check in was inefficient.
It took 15-20 minutes and the staff seemed lost, confused or had multiple tasks assigned to her (i.e. providing assistance to a PT on top of attending to check ins) causing her to be inefficient
Staff was scrambling to manage incoming patients and she forgot to complete my check in process before attending to a new patient who was trying to change schedule. I had to call her attention to get my check in and paperworks completed.
2. Some PTs are not focused on attending to their patients’ program
The place is an open space, like a gym so one can see how PTs manage the sessions.
Some are either attending to 2 people at a time, another is on his computer while the patient is left to do his exercises alone.
My PT later had to attend to another patient and just asked the staff doing check ins to help me out in the end.
I didn’t get the full hour for an actual program. My PT talked more about random stuff than my PT goal and program. She also promised they will send a home program with pictures for me by email. I never received this email, nor any email thereafter.
3. Time is not Optimized for PT program
PT had to ask the same questions I already answered in the check in documents and that were detailed in my post surgery protocol from my surgeon.
On top of check in waiting time, I also waited longer thinking she already took time to read my documents as she approached me and began my 1st session saying “lots of paperworks” only to ask me same questions and write redundant notes on a blank sheet of paper.
4. Don’t expect privacy. The whole space is open so you see everyone doing their PT exercises and how their PT is attending to them

Marissa was great! She helped me rehab a hamstring / IT band injury that was persistent for over a year, and I'm now back to running and being active. I had seen other PT clinics for the issue before and felt like Marissa was much more thorough and helpful. Great bedside manner, and the front desk was kind as well. They were willing to accommodate with scheduling and provided calls for alternate appointments becoming available when requested. Would highly recommend!

Very poor care. Rude staff. Terrible bedside manners. Tried to get over myself and keep going for a few months and it was a bad decision. I've had far better PT at basically every other clinic I've ever gone to where I actually had results.

Extremely disappointing experience. Based on other reviews, it appears that multiple clients are also often handled simultaneously, limiting the ability to receive personalized care. My session felt rushed and ended prematurely, with little progress or support achieved. My concerns were not addressed, and I left feeling worse and unheard. I would not recommend this physical therapy service.

Lindsay, Ralph and Don are amazing. There attention to patients is impeccable. I have come here for three events over the last 2 years. Through Lindsay and Ralph, I always find long term solutions with focus on exercise and very good attention to details. Don helps navigating throughly appointments and extremely patient, friendly and empathetic. I would highly recommend.

Marissa and Mo were exceptional! I had knee surgery (chondroplasty abrasion, slight meniscus tear, debridement) and was told by the surgeon that I wouldn't likely return to unrestricted running for 6 months. With Marissa's plan, constant adjustment based on my progress, and encouragement, I could return to unrestricted running in 3 months. I am still on the road to recovery and am not quite 100% 6 months post-surgery, but I am back to track workouts and long runs of 15+ miles. I am pain-free and just trying to regain all my strength. I am thankful for the team at Ultrahealth. From the owners to the PTs, everybody cares about the patient and doing what is best for them to recover. I cannot recommend them enough and am grateful for all they did to help me.
