We took two private lessons with Alise at the Pick School of Dance leading up to our wedding. Since both of us have no background in dance, we were worried about putting together a first dance. Alise was wonderful - she helped us feel comfortable moving with each other and gave us some great tips for positioning, spins, and rhythm. Well worth the investment and I’d highly recommend to other couples.
We signed up for a package of 5 private lessons for our wedding dance and had a wonderful experience learning from Alise. She is incredibly kind, patient, encouraging, and creative. She choreographed a beautiful dance that felt natural to us and incorporated our ideas & input throughout the process. My partner and I have zero dance background whatsoever, but we wanted to get some choreography done for our first dance in a month. We had a wonderful experience with Ylva — in about 90 minutes we felt like we had a pretty solid foundation for the entire dance! She really is a pro. After hearing our song for only a minute or so, she was able to nail out the best type of dance moves and sequences for the song, and we cannot wait to share it with our family and friends on our wedding day.
