Found Chad and Steel&Strand 7 years ago and never looked back. Highly recommend. Great vibe and the barbershop is a staple of the community on Valencia street. Wouldn’t consider any other place. Chad is one of a kind but all of the barbers seem to be great.
Best SF barbershop! I've been getting my hair cut by Andy for a while now, and I can't recommend him enough. He's incredibly professional and detail-oriented — you can tell he genuinely takes pride in his craft.
My hair isn't the easiest to work with (it's thick and curly), but he handles it like a pro every single time. I always leave feeling sharp and confident. He's also super reliable — any time I've needed a last-minute cut for an event or emergency, he's made it work without hesitation.

I came in not knowing exactly what cut to get and just had a few reference photos but Santana was really patient with me and helped to get the cut similar to what I was looking for. Because I wasn’t too clear about the haircut he also said that I could come in again to get it fixed. Ok so then this was on me because I should’ve just kept the original cut … bc I don’t know how to style my hair so I thought I had to cut it shorter so I came back asking to cut the front shorter but then we had to fix up the sides so then we ended up just getting a fade lol.
