Blue Star sent Igor out because my brand new hood didn't work. I asked that he call when on his way, but he just showed up. Not personable at all. Checked the control board and said everything was good, but the fan still didn't work. He said he wasn't trained on remote fans and left. He contacted Blue Star and said it was a. Installation problem. Blue Star sent a new board board to Igor but he said he doesn't work on remote fans and wouldn't replace the board "inside" the hood.Terrible customer service and experience.

Slava at Star Appliances worked with our Bluestar Stove and a Zephr Hood when we lived in San Francisco. Having moved across the bay to Berkeley 4 years ago, when I called him up for advice on an issue we are having with our Bluestar oven dial and the themostat rod, he took the time to describe possible issues, then looked at and commented on what he saw in a couple of photos and a video. He doesn't typically work in the East Bay, but he took time on the phone to coach us through what we are dealing with. A really reliable, helpful person who's a good communicator.
