Slava at Star Appliances was excellent. He was straightforward, knowledgeable, and clearly familiar with my building. Instead of pushing for a service call, he diagnosed the likely issue over the phone and gave practical guidance that actually helped.

It’s rare to find someone this knowledgeable yet candid, and not trying to upsell unnecessary work.

Slava was phenomenal! He diagnosed what was wrong with our dryer, drove to East Bay to get parts, came back to install them and had the dryer working like new all in one day. He also has exhaustive knowledge of appliances, the different brands, model history and engineering. We will definitely be using Star Aplliances in future

Slava at Star Appliances worked with our Bluestar Stove and a Zephr Hood when we lived in San Francisco. Having moved across the bay to Berkeley 4 years ago, when I called him up for advice on an issue we are having with our Bluestar oven dial and the themostat rod, he took the time to describe possible issues, then looked at and commented on what he saw in a couple of photos and a video. He doesn't typically work in the East Bay, but he took time on the phone to coach us through what we are dealing with. A really reliable, helpful person who's a good communicator. Can't recommend him and Star Appliances highly enough. It a world that's increasingly about customer service wait times and app interaction, it's encouraging to have this kind of help and expertise, and to have it shared so generously. 5 stars.
