So I showed up with a pretty vague description of what I wanted but Tanya was basically like, "I got this," and the next thing you know I've got one of the best haircuts I've had in my entire life. I am SO happy with the way my hair turned out, and I will absolutely be returning to this salon!

I’ve been a customer (and big fan) of TanyaMia’s for over a decade now. I’ve got that semi-frizzy, sometimes-wavy hair that can look dull and shapeless- but she knows how to cut (dry cut, brings out the wave and makes my hair look fuller). EVERY time it’s a quality cut, that lasts months and still looks fresh. Her skill with color/highlights gets me many compliments! Two more reasons I love her: she won’t cut your long hair any shorter than you request, and never insists on ‘blowing out’ the final result- something I can’t stand w other hair salons as I despise blowdryers. She’s very excellent and knows how to make your hair look it’s best!

I have had 2 incredible haircuts now with Tanya Mia & and trust her completely with my curly, coily 3a/3b hair! My hair feels much healthier & the way it curls works so well with the layers and shape she created. She is also easy to talk to, respectful of masking/COVID-safe needs, & makes me feel more comfortable than I’ve ever felt in a salon! I can’t recommend Pirate Salon enough for curly hair (and all hair types)!
