Helen's Place is a dry cleaning and alterations business located downstairs in the parking garage level of an office building at 505 Montgomery in San Francisco. The spot is a bit hard to find, with no street-level signs; you must enter the building and take the elevator down to the parking level, then turn left. Helen is widely praised as very nice, kind, professional, generous, friendly, and the best wardrobe helper. She is incredibly affordable and reasonable, with prices often significantly lower than competitors. She is a professional with many years of experience, known for being responsible, responsive, careful, thorough, transparent, and communicative. She expertly manages expectations, clearly explaining what she can and cannot do, embodying an "under-promise and over-deliver" approach. The service is excellent, with impressive results like making a badly stained wedding dress look like new and expertly removing stains or repairing tears. The work is very good and comes out well. The primary drawback is the shortened, limited hours, currently on Mondays and Wednesdays from about 8:00 AM to 1:00 or 1:30 PM, which can be difficult for those not working nearby. Despite the hours and location, customers highly recommend her as a fantastic, highly respectable, and knowledgeable gem of a service.
