Cannot recommend John highly enough! We worked with him to craft an entire wall of custom bookshelves, and we were extremely satisfied with the entire project. When we first reached out, John was very upfront that he was quite busy (understandably so - just look at his portfolio!). Despite that, he worked with us to figure out a timetable that fit our needs. 5/5 for clear, direct communication even before the project began! Since we bought our place I've wanted a window seat in from of the curved window bay in our dining room, and John brought that vision to life with amazing skill. Based on a very rough sketch I made, her created a seamless window bench with built ins on the side and storage underneath. He has great attention to detail and extraordinary craftsmanship, and made everything look perfect. This seemed like a really challenging job to me since we had gobs of Victorian molding to work around - molding running down from the windows, crazy chair molding, etc, and the whole back of the seat had to be curved. We worked with John to design and build a custom floating desk/shelf project. We came to him with inspirations, rough ideas, and rough measurements and he helped guide us to a clearer picture. His sense of working with wood and highlighting the wood's natural characteristics (walnut in this case) in an otherwise modern style was impressive. We are very happy with the end result and glad we worked with John. Highly recommended.
