When Sam told me he was moving from the Peninsula up to Dogpatch Barber & Shave in SF, I was honestly disappointed, not because I needed a new barber, but because now I have to build a bi-weekly trip into the city around his cuts.
Sam is incredibly attentive and detail-oriented. He doesn’t rush. He takes the time to actually talk through what works for your head shape, hair type, and overall style. It’s not just “what do you want?” It’s a collaborative process, and the result is always dialed in.

This barbershop is great! It’s nice and clean, welcoming, and good vibes from everyone around. Sam has cut my hair twice now and when he relocated to San Francisco I commuted all the way to him, and that really speaks to his skills as a barber. He takes his time, pays great attention to detail, always gives the most sharp looking cuts, and overall just brings great energy. He really cares about his clients, you do not want to miss out on his skills ?
