I came to the Haight from Sacramento knowing that I wanted to “elevate” the studs in my ears after nearly fifteen years of titanium/surgical steel- it was time to invest in some “big girl” jewelry! Being real, I’m naturally shy and lowkey awkward but these wonderful folks made me feel so welcome and safe.
I was taken care of by Mic (who shared that he is also the buyer for the shop). Their selection, in my estimation (as I went to five or six shops this trip prior to deciding, both on and off Haight) is the most impressive and unique by far.

This place is awesome, never gonna go anywhere else for piercings again. Cassidy was super sweet and helped me pick out some jewelry and Christopher is an excellent piercer — He took his time to make sure everything was perfect and it was great chatting with him! Highly recommend coming here!
I have been interested in a septum piercing for so long and during during my last trip to San Francisco I finally made it happen.
Cold Steele had such a beautiful shop, decorated with historical piercing items and you were able to see the variety they carried which was really nice. I didn’t get the name of the woman behind the counter but when she offered some help I took it.
All I said was, “talk to me about septum piercings” and she was a wealth of knowledge. I really appreciate the shop putting someone in the front of the house that could answer all my questions. I wanted a dainty gold hoop and she showed me all the options.
