However, some guests have expressed a desire for more exhibits and a larger, more welcoming space. Despite these limitations, the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco remains a unique and meaningful destination for those seeking to engage with the city's diverse cultural landscape.
Ran into the design store on Grant (separate from the Chinese Culture Center on Kearny).
What stood out to me during the visit were the compact, pre-assembled to go mini kits - things like travel set, first-aid sets, hangover kits, and small everyday essentials. They are all packaged in ready-to-go formats. I haven’t really seen that kind of selection anywhere else in SF.
The store also carries mood-themed chocolate bars, stationery, and small design items. This is one of those San Francisco gem shops with unique gifts for family and friends.

Janet working in the shop is the coolest nicest artsy lady in the neighborhood! She’s knows so much about all of the independent artists showcased , she’s very dialed in with the program! I bought some beautiful fashion pieces & art . I’ll come back regularly for upcoming artworks & artists to look out for in China town .
