I’ve been going to Black Heart consistently for over 17 years - all tattoos done by Jeff Rassier except one done by Moses Sarni there. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Every artist brings so much talent to the table. It’s super clean, has a historical, fun vibe and it’s right next door to Zeitgeist - SFs best outdoor bar. Jeff has taken my ideas and reworked them into beautiful pieces of art that i can collect for life. i love black heart!! 🖤
I started getting tattooed at Blackheart in 2006 and was tattooed by Scott Sylvia. Over the years, I’ve been tattooed by Jeff Rassier, Nick Rodin, and Tim Lehi, and while some artists aren’t at Blackheart anymore, the insanely high quality of their artists past and present speaks to the caliber and reputation of the shop. Really no other place I’d rather be tattooed.
My sister and I had our first tattoos done here. My partner suggested this shop since he'd had a great experience here years ago. Our artist Carolyn was friendly, calm, and professional. When I began explaining the story behind our idea, she sat down with me and listened respectfully and intently. I got the sense that she didn't see our appointment as just another day in the office, but that she understands that each tattoo is special and treats each client as an individual. She had a flawless stencil done within ten minutes. Throughout the process her vibe was fun and easygoing. She loves what she does and it shows!
