About Archimedes Banya
Archimedes Banya is a co-ed bathhouse offering a unique experience with both clothed and clothing-optional options. Visitors can enjoy a variety of facilities, including Russian Saunas, a Finnish Sauna, an Eucalyptus Steam-room, a Japanese Soaking Tub, a Jacuzzi, a Cold Plunge, and a pool with room-temperature water. The venue features a Spa, a Bar/Restaurant, a TV Lounge, a Deck, and a Rooftop with stunning views. Guests must be at least 18 years old and present a government-issued ID for entry, along with a Basic Banya Pass, which can be purchased on-site. Upon check-in, guests receive a key for a locker equipped with fresh towels, bathrobes, and flip flops. The experience is designed to be enjoyable, with a three-hour time limit that many find adequate. While the atmosphere is meant to be social, some guests note that conversations can get loud, particularly in the pool area. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness and the attentive staff, with some suggesting that a tour for new visitors could enhance the experience. The aroma infusion sauna, offered daily, is especially recommended for those seeking relaxation. Archimedes Banya never fails to deliver a warm atmosphere, both from the baths and the staff. The cafe offers soul-filling eats, and the rooftop provides beautiful views. Although some aspects like the beer kvass were criticized, the venue remains popular for those looking to unwind. The entrance fee is $67, with a happy hour rate of $55 on weekdays before 4 PM, and street parking is available.
Very nice place
Not only is this a beautiful building and the saunas super therapeutic but the staff managed to find my wallet, which I lost in my bathrobe, and they actually mailed it to my house with everything in it! Amazing service, excellent facility all around I cannot wait to go back with my wife and friends!
The spa itself, I give 1 star - it’s pretty crowded, the pools are small. It felt like a gym and less like a spa. Which might be for some people, but it wasn’t for me.
I give 3 extra stars for the cafe 🫶 - it was a really sweet space the hang out. The food is incredible (you have to try the soup dumplings), and there are chess boards to play which, which was really fun for our group.
Overall, this place is a unique and fun experience, especially for a group of friends. Just not the relaxing spa experience I typically strive for.
