About ActivSpace in the Mission
ActivSpace in the Mission is a versatile workspace that caters to artists, hobbyists, and small businesses. Many renters have positive experiences, with some staying for five years or more. The building is well-maintained, and the area offers a vibrant community. The current manager, Chelsea, is highly praised for her kindness, helpfulness, and troubleshooting skills, making her a valuable asset to the team. However, there have been issues with manager turnover, causing stress for renters. Parking can be challenging, and filming with security guards may be intimidating to some. Despite these challenges, ActivSpace in the Mission remains a good option for those seeking a dynamic and collaborative workspace.
I’ve been a tenant here since late November and I have nothing but good things to say about management and renting here. The building manager, Jaimie is the bomb. From the leasing process, to the building always being clean and tidy, down to the overall vibes and community- she’s set the tone to make this place and my experience here feel like a dream.
I love that this space encourages creatives to connect with one another. This building is truly unique and I feel so lucky to have space here.

I can honestly say that both Chelsea and Christina are truly the dream team.
They are both community oriented and are committed to the diversity of the building and couldn’t be more kind and caring .
Wanted to share my most recent experience with Active Space, San Francisco. I’ve been renting here for about three years. During that time I’ve seen at least six managers come and go and their disposition when they leave is overwhelm and stress. They all start off really helpful and they leave running out the door. Could be an issue with management style in their home office. It’s pretty distressing for us as renters cause we start a relationship with them and then they disappear.
