I'd just like to give a totally glowing review to Friedman Sensei and the 11th street Dojo, it's an amazing and inspiring place! Friedman Sensei is an incredible teacher and a breadth of fresh air to experience as a student. His wit and sense of humor on the mat make everyone feel welcome, and his teaching style is clear, concise, and exemplifies a mastery of craft that only comes from a lifetime of devotion to Aikido and the martial arts in general.

I've been training here for years. I love the art but more than that I love Jimmy our Sensei. I've made wonderful friends through the years and feel like Norm from Cheers when I come in and everyone knows my name. The place is welcoming, overly clean and it's a great art you can do for the rest of your life.
Coach Lucio is a 3rd degree black belt from one of the most prestigious Jiujitsu schools in Brazil, Alliance. I have a strong sense of respect for him and his team. From the beginning I have watched him grow this program from 1 person, to over 50 people at this location. This is a testament to his strong technique and dedication to his craft. Sometime last year Lucio brought another amazing fighter and black belt from Alliance, Victor. His leg lock game is out of this world and has won multiple IBJJF tournaments.
