Soo Park, MD, at Moore's Cancer Center provides outpatient cancer care. The center makes the experience comfortable with plenty of parking, a nice lobby, and helpful clerks. The infusion center features comfy chaise chairs with warmed blankets, and offers water and snacks, even providing a lunch if appointments run long. The care is described as stellar and top notch, with wonderful, brilliant, and knowledgeable physicians. The doctors are personable, caring, articulate in explanations, and receptive to patients being involved in their care. Nurses are capable, attentive, wonderful, and caring. The administrative staff and technicians are also noted as the best. The center is a wonderful place to be treated, where patients feel well taken care of and visits go smoothly. It is emphasized that patients deserve to be confident and thrilled with their care, and should feel their physician values shared decision making.
Who wants to go for outpatient cancer care? Certainly nobody (although it does beat in-hospital cancer care), but Moore's Cancer Center makes it comfortable while you're there. Plenty of parking in adjacent garages. Nice lobby with helpful clerks. Wind your way around to the infusion center, where you're set up in a rather comfy chaise chair, complete with warmed blanket. Water and snacks are offered and available. Here a little longer than anticipated for your morning appointment? Lunch will be brought to you in a little tote: a sandwich, a piece of fruit and a drink. How nice. Nurses were capable and attentive. During the time we were there, I felt as if we were well taken care of and the visit went smoothly.
Very happy to finish my last of 28 sessions of radiation therapy for my prostate cancer today. Can't say enough about the radiation oncology at UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center. Stellar care from my radiation oncologist Dr. Arno Mundt and resident Dr. Anna Dornisch. All others involved including nurses, admin staff and technicians were the best.
Dr.William Mitchell is a top notch doctor! He's very personable and a very caring man. He speaks softly and very articulate in how he explains everything. We're very fortunate to have him in our corner right now.
