Soda and the other ladies there were very professional, nice and did an amazing job on my daughter's hair. They were gentle and her braids don't hurt her at all. The salon is clean and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back for routine braids, so glad we found someone that knows how to do nice quality hair braiding. Soda got braids from the beauty supply shop since I didn't know which kind to get, so that was very helpful to me. My daughter is very happy and loves her braids!
I had a great time - I originally thought that it would be Soda braiding my hair but it was her assistant/cousin who did it. It took about 3 1/2 hours which is quick - I typically cant sit without getting antsy for more than 3 hours. We both were pretty anti-social which I appreciate because I hate small talk. My hair was braided on 12/17/23 and I still have those exact braids in today 1/19/24. She did not braid my hair so tight that my scalp hurt for days on end which I really appreciated as I have very fine hair. Soda said my hair was thin and recommended I take hair and nail vitamins which I took slight offense to but I've had my hair my whole life and know its mixed hair and has always seemed to look like its on the thinner side especially around my edges where my baby hair is - I felt so insecure about that that I mistakenly asked her to braid my edges which I eventually took out because OUCH. Besides that one comment and me being over sensitive I had an overall great time and plan on going back!!
