It seems home owner insurance providers are looking closely at tile/cement tile roofs. Specifically if they have any mildew/algae build up and use that as a reason to not renew. We got the letter and decided to have the roof cleaned. We called So Cal and a few others. Kendricks co had really good reviews and was very competitive. We got a clean-up date for a week later. There is no deposit, just both agreed to price and terms. Ken showed up on time. His rig and equipment is self contained. He set up berms to catch the waste water. Also, set up a pump to direct the waste water into the sewer. My roof is a cement tile and looks like reddish clay tile. Picture a roof 33 years old and never cleaned. So you have dirt, tile aggregate, and green stuff plus water. Just so you know, this is a very, very dirty process. This stuff (crud) with high-pressure water shoots about 15 feet past the roof line. Ken cleaned up real good the stuff that flows down the sides of your house. But you will need to clean your windows and screens after this process. That's just the way it is. Ken did a great job and at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this company.
