I was seen last minute for what I hoped would be a filling repair but ended up being a crown. I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received from Dr Fred and his wonderful staff. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was incredibly friendly, warm and compassionate. They made me feel at ease right away. The team was completely transparent and took the time to educate me about the process, which I really appreciated. Dr Fred and his assistant were gentle, thorough and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. I left feeling confident and well cared for and happy to have found a new dentist. Highly recommend! Thank you! Appreciate y’all (:
I chipped my molar at the beginning of quarantine and dental offices were closed. Once the quarantine allowed businesses to open, I called San Diego Smile Dentistry and they were able to book me the following week for consultation. They checked it out and advised me on my options and a much needed deep cleaning. My following appointment, we placed a temporary crown on the molar and cleaned half my mouth. I survived. In fact, I was elated that I didn’t have any cavities or need a root canal for that tooth after the dentin was exposed for like nearly 4 months (thank you google for giving me the worse case scenario). Moving on to my 3rd appointment- we’re deep cleaning the other side of my mouth and placing the permanent crown. The shots were okay (the first time I ever went to Dr. Harandi in 2015, he had the magic touch or something because I remember I didn’t feel the shot. This time is was bearable- I felt like 1 out 4 so still good odds). The cleaning was quick. My molar. I saw it in the office before I left and was like, “cool! Looks good.” Now, my mouth isn’t numb and I can feel the tooth and holy sh*t! It’s amazing. Feels like my natural tooth! Feels normal. Anyways. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Harandi and his staff. Dr. Harandi is awesome, he tolerates my non sense and random questions. Tom is really nice. He hooked it up with a free purple toothbrush and floss (I use a sonicare electric toothbrush because Dr. Harandi recommended it- did you know? You should look for one with higher vibrations to better remove plaque. Sonicare toothbrushes vibrate much more than Oral B. I did a lot of research). Oh! And I like the dental assistant, I didn’t catch his name but he’s cool. He usually calls for me. He’s good at the X-rays and he’s good at moving the saliva sucker thing when your mouth is being worked on.
Samantha is my hygienist here and she's so sweet. I was very curious, and she had no problem explaining the things she does and why. Dr. Fred is wonderful as well. Last time, I had a tooth extraction. I appreciated him calling me personally to make sure everything is OK after I went home. The receptionists have always been very patient and professional with me. I've never really had to wait in the lobby for a long time. FYI... Dr. Fred does not take HMO dental insurance.
