San Diego Optical Shop offers friendly and patient service from its neighborhood eye doctor. They provide average-priced eye exams and a wide variety of frames to choose from. The shop is able to get new glasses ready quickly, often the next business day. Dr. Louis and the staff are kind and don't try to sell unnecessary items. Pricing is fair and the shop is happy to help with any eye care needs.
Scheduling appt easy. They deal directly with insurance. $20 copay for eye exam. What a deal. I prefer local shopping and business exchange. Quaint, personal and seasoned, sister-owned company here in PB.
This busy spot in Pacific Beach, on Garnet Ave., near Von’s, has hosted an optical shop for decades, but San Diego Optical is new to this location. I lost my bifocals recently and walked-in and was welcomed into a brand spanking new store. A few days later I’m wearing the best pair of bifocals I’ve owned in 29 years . The Doctor is fantastic, Jenny, who does all the scheduling, is super professional and polite and kind. Check out these pictures.

San Diego Optical Shop is a gem. I just picked up my new glasses and could not be happier! The entire experience exceeded my expectations. The owner and optician are true professionals...knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly friendly. They took the time to make sure everything fit perfectly and that I felt confident in my choice. I absolutely love my new glasses and will definitely be back. If you’re looking for quality care and great service, this is the place. Highly recommended!
