After walking out with many failed haircuts at many salons in San Diego, I finally stumbled on Presidio Salon and I am now a loyal customer! This hidden gem is tucked away in Mission Hills--in an area that is infamous for having difficult parking, I haven't had much trouble with finding parking here and there are limited spots designated for customers. Yohei has been my stylist for the past two years and I am a loyal customer! He is truly dedicated to his craft and really takes his time to get to know his customer to make sure that their service/haircut will match your needs and lifestyle. This is truly something I appreciate so much when looking for a stylist because I am someone who struggles with my hair! Even though he has been doing my cut & color for the past few years, at the beginning of every appointment he still takes the time to talk about what I'm looking for and whether it will still fit my low maintenance style. He is so thorough, really takes his time, and I have loved my hair every single time I left the salon. The salon is also noteworthy - the beautiful space is a reflection of the calm and tranquil vibes Yohei brings to the space. It always smells so nice in there, is so clean, and always impeccably decorated. I will note that the prices are higher--but to me it is worth the relaxing experience I have every time I come here!
I am beyond happy to have discovered the best hair stylist in SD! Yohei is incredibly talented & a great listener. He understood the assignment & got it right the first time. The salon itself has a cool vibe & is in a charming neighborhood. I look forward to coming back again & will be recommending all my SD friends to go see him. Thanks Yohei!
