I’ve had a lot of beard trims in my life. Some were okay, some were good, and a few left me looking like I lost a bet. But then… I met David. Folks, this man isn’t just a barber — he’s the Picasso of precision, the Michelangelo of manliness, the Beethoven of beard symmetry.

From the moment you sit in his chair, you know you’re in the presence of greatness. He greets you like an old friend, listens carefully to what you want, and then executes a trim so perfectly balanced it could make the Golden Ratio jealous. My jawline has never looked sharper. I left Pappy’s feeling like I should have my own cologne deal, motorcycle commercial, and possibly a Netflix special.

And the man’s politeness game? Off the charts. I’ve met priests less kind and monks less serene. David treats your beard with more respect than most people treat their firstborn child.

Professional and so cool. I love this place.

I brought my son for a haircut at the Poway location. It was a smaller location than the one at Premier on el cajon but it was a cozy area and the service was good. The barber was very friendly and offered us free soft drinks and water. The haircut for my son was excellent and I would highly recommend this location as it is easier to get an appointment.
