About Metro Career Center
Metro Career Center is a helpful place for people who need assistance with unemployment benefits and job resources. Many reviewers found it a big help, noting the staff cares about the community and provides plenty of resources. Clients report being able to get through to the EDD quickly here, sometimes in a matter of minutes, after struggling at home. The staff helps with using computers, answers questions, and can assist in opening an unemployment claim. The most helpful area mentioned is VetWorks, a service for military veterans that helps with job search, training, and job-related costs like work clothing and public transportation. The building has a lobby with computers, clean bathrooms, and a snack room. It is located near a bus line and has several fast-food options nearby. Some reviewers note the center can seem empty of staff and requires appointments, masks, and sign-in procedures.
YES! COME HERE if you need to get a hold of someone with EDD. They put me on the phone with someone in a matter of minutes and I was finally able to certify for benefits after being unable to do so at home all month. Don’t waste your time calling EDD yourself, do yourself a favor and visit this office. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

They have an office in the back and are very relaxed and friendly. They...read full review
