I had an amazing haircut experience at LuisaV Artistry, the hairstylist, is not only incredibly experienced but also genuinely passionate about giving you the cut you want. What stood out for me was Luisa's thorough explanation of her process, ensuring I was on board with every step. The free two-week touch-up period she offers is a game-changer – she genuinely cares about getting your cut just right. The whole experience felt like more than just a haircut. Luisa sets the tone with complimentary snacks and drinks (which we love, of course, lol!) her personality set a laid-back vibe and it was easy to talk to her about my style wishes. She took the time to understand my preferences, offering visuals based on my hair type. The dry cut started with my hair in its every-day natural state, followed by a super relaxing wash and condition. Luisa detangled, styled and also cut my hair while wet, crafting the perfect shape, diffused and snipped any extra curls for the final product. What surprised me was her commitment to perfection. After studying my "after" photo, she sent me a follow-up text suggesting to cut a few more layers for free which she clearly marked on the photo– a thoughtful touch I didn't expect or think I even needed, but now I’m so excited for this already amazing cut to be even better. For those with curly hair, Luisa is a pro. Black and Afro-Latina ladies, rest assured – she knows how to work with our hair types. With her understanding of different curl textures and a stash of products for all kinds of hair, including my type 3a-4a curls, which is hard for most stylists to work with because of all the different curl textures on my head, she's got it covered.
