So unfortunately my loctician relocated so it left me in a position to have to find a new partner in crime for my hair. It took me a while because I know with these things research is key. San Diego is small when it comes to good hair care for locs so I figured I jump on Google and see what was up. After a couple days I kept seeing shops that I was like “maybe give them a try” and soon as I read the reviews it would give a couple good ones then more bad ones. Through the search though I found 5 reviews on other peoples pages saying they went to people but they had to go to Meeka to fix the terrible work. First time loc retwist with Meeka went exceptionally well! Her care, quickness, and attention to detail is truly honored. From the shampoo/conditioner process, to an unexpected head massage device thingy passing over my head that I wasn’t expecting but was definitely welcome(!), and finally, the retwist itself, which was relatively smooth, given my head tenderness threshold, lol. We chat for a bit, laughed along with another patron receiving a braid service. Small shop, but big energy. Overall, good vibes.
I left that seat, hair flippin’ in the breeze, feelin’ and lookin’ good! Sent a pic to my Ma, and she was shook! 😂
