Lions Optometric Vision Clinic

The optometrist as well as the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I found out a lot of the staff volunteer their time working in this facility. They had a large selection of glasses which were donated to the facility. I ordered two pairs, including the eye exam. $300 for two pairs for transitions are priced very well. I wanted to donate glasses, but they don’t make that easy. I called and confirmed that they took donations by mail. I got a box, carefully packed it, and sent it to them at their 1805 Upas address. It came back returned to sender. So I called, heard they were open on Saturdays on their recording, biked about an hour, and discovered they were closed (maybe because of Veteran’s day?). Maybe the glasses donations are very valuable to them, but they should either say they don’t want glasses or else have a functional system to mailGlasses to them, or at least a Dropbox at their location. I’m sure they do great work, but this aspect of their operation needs attention.

I would like to give a shout out to all the Volunteer's who make gifting to others possible. When I had no way of financial need to put glasses on my priority list this wonderful club fit the need. Very accommodating and pleasant. That's a Beautiful example of how God is at work through people.
