Frigidaire technical support recommended Optimus and gave me their phone number. I requested service on a non-cooling freezer. They were able to come the same day and Andrew phoned ahead and arrived as scheduled . when he arrived he quickly diagnosed the problem has the compressor by listening. He then took out enough content to access the back of the freezer and verified his analysis. They could not get a new compressor until Sunday. My full freezer of food would have spoiled within a day and even buying a new freezer would take until Saturday, Andrew asked if I would like him to try the hammer fix. I said certainly and got him a rubber mallet and with the compressor off He hit the compressor twice. Told me to start the freezer and it was cooling. I asked how long it might work and Andrew said no idea maybe a year maybe a month maybe a week no idea , my service call was $65 and Andrew said it would've been $80 more had I clicked Google rather than dial directly because Google charges them extra. my freezer is cooling now a new freezer should come Saturday. I have never in 80 years Had a better service experience than Andrew. Johnnyg
Was told condenser motor and capacitor on Viking fridge needed to be changed. Paid 1400$. Few days later the fridge and freezer stopped working again. Came back out and said the compressor just needed to be cleaned off. Tenants complained again a few days after the second service visit. Now without even seeing the fridge again claims need to pay another 1000$ to have refrigerant drained and replaced because it's still not working. Other than coming in a timely manner I do not recommend.
Have a home warranty and they sent someone from Optimus since our microwave door had not been opening for several weeks. For some reason, the day the repair person came, it worked. We asked him to evaluate if there was a loose part which had caused the problem since it would then happen again. He refused even after we asked him a few times to please check. He was rude and unprofessional. Would not use their services. When the warranty co called them based on my complaint about lack of service and rudeness, Optimus told them it was working without any further info. Basically, they charge and aren't willing to do anything. Would not waste your money
