I trained with Master Purnell in the 1980s and 1990s, eventually returning to train under him for a few years in after settling into the early stages of my career. It was an honor to earn my third degree black belt with his training, augmented by the training of my other original instructor Master Larry Dercole in Chula Vista. I always admired Master Purnell’s endless energy and enthusiastic training. His teaching methods are motivating and he has an engaging personality. Many life lessons learned from these 2 Master Instructors who influenced my life at an early age which still affects me today. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.
