She explained in detail the results of my tests. She was very clear and took time to answer my questions. This Target displayed various eyeglass frames--just as many as other optometry stores. I had a true variety of frames to choose from. I will be going back to this office. The staff was friendly, and the Optical area was well organized, clean as a whistle, with very attractive displays. If I could give more than five stars, I would — because Gateway Village Optometry literally rescued me right before the holidays.

Here’s the situation: my 6-year-old son accidentally destroyed my last pair of Ray-Ban prescription glasses (kids + glasses = dangerous combo ?). I was left practically blind, right before Christmas, which is about the worst timing possible. I honestly thought I was doomed to squint through the holidays.

Enter Gateway Village Optometry in San Clemente — absolute lifesavers.

From the moment I walked in, the experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Dr. Rick is on another level — calm, knowledgeable, and clearly someone who knows exactly what he’s doing. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the prescription was spot-on. You can tell he truly cares about his patients, not just rushing people through appointments.

And I have to give huge credit to Sima and Dalia — these two are absolute gems. Their customer service was top-notch, friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. They treated my situation like it actually mattered (which sadly isn’t always the case elsewhere).

Now here’s the part that still blows my mind:
They managed to get me custom prescription lenses with custom tinting done in just FOUR DAYS — during the Christmas season. I honestly didn’t think that was even possible. Not only did they make it happen, but the quality is perfect. Crystal clear, beautiful tint, and fits my Ray-Ban frames flawlessly.

I walked out seeing clearly again, stress-free, and honestly just super grateful.

This is the kind of place you stick with. I’ll absolutely be relying on Gateway Village Optometry for all my future frames and eye care, no question about it. Professional, fast, friendly, and genuinely caring — everything you want in an optometry office.
