Tesla Supercharger is a convenient location near the airport. It offers 250kW maximum charging speeds, but charging speeds can vary. The parking layout can be challenging with some spaces requiring angled or backward parking. The station has experienced congestion from rental car companies in the past, but this has improved recently.
The parking configuration here in San Bruno is sub-optimal. Some spaces require you to back in between stalls. Some require you to back in at an angle and the chargers are split across two locations making it difficult to find all available chargers.Chargers put out plenty of power and there seem to be a steady churn of people moving through the stations.
Rental car companies (like hertz) are using many charges at once. Kinda annoying when you have to wait for charge because of companies using charges like it’s private.——One year later…Update: I haven’t seen many rentals coming at once anymore, station is way better now.After Burlingame location opened it’s less crowded.
In the Tanforan Shopping Center. Convenient location. Was there in January 2024 and charged next to a new Tesla Truck with mfg license plates. Very futuristic look. Huge tires and much larger than I pictured.
