This vet is amazing!!!! I seriously can't thank them enough for taking such good care of our guinea pig. We were struggling to find a local vet that takes exotic animals, the only other one we found was a specialist in Pasadena but they are extremely expensive. Our guinea pig had a cyst growing inside of her ear canal, they were able to drain it and send a sample to the lab for testing. She is back at home and back to her old self again as if nothing even happened! I was really worried it was going to be something more serious because guinea pigs don't tolerate anesthesia and surgery very well, but thankfully they were able to do a minor sedation instead and our appointment was at 11am and she was totally done by 1pm, super quick service that I truly appreciate! Also the staff was amazing and friendly from the receptionists to the vet! And the place itself is stunning, feels very upscale and that they truly care about their customers and our experience there. I highly recommend coming here!

We took our rabbit here on Wednesday 7/31 to be seen due to not eating or drinking water. I assumed it was GI stasis something that is common in rabbits. My husband got there at 8 and was in and out by 8:30. They told him it was an infection in his mouth and gave him antibiotics ($286 in total) and sent him on his way. By 6 am the next day my rabbit was dead. He had a seizure in front of my family including my 6 year old son and passed away in my husbands arms. My husband called the vet that day (Thursday 7/1) to see if it could've possibly been an allergic reaction to the medication or what could've happened as we were confused and distraught. The girl that answered said the vet was unavailable and took a message. It's now been almost a week and we haven't received a call to even say sorry for our loss. Very disappointing.

We are new to town and have a 1.5 year old Mixed Siamese cat. We came in for a check up, some vaccines, and to meet our local vet. The office was very clean, the staff were extremely friendly and quick, and there was such a variety of animals in the lobby. We got the opportunity to be seen by Dr.May. My cat took an immediate liking to her. She’s excatly what you hope for in a vet. She showed him love, affection, and kindness. She was patient and answered all my questions. She didn’t rush me, my cat, or the appointment at all. My cat didn’t even flinch when he got his shots. We were there for less than hour with everything completed. I’m so happy and relieved to know I have a great local vet office. Thank you Dr. May and the staff. ❤️

Finding a vet who explains things and gives you different options and reasoning to each is difficult. The vet doctors here were great in explaining things in depth to give me the different options for my dogs issues, aggressive or moderate and why she suggesting each (which she pressed the less aggressive option to start!). The only complaint I have about this location is its appointment based and they are BOOKED wayyyy too far out. I had an incident that was more urgent but they weren't available for a week. I had to take my dog elsewhere when I was really appreciative of my last visit and wanted to stick with the vet I saw. The office is beautiful, clean, my dog didn't smell "death" and get all scared.. prices were as can be expected (sometimes you have to weight what you can afford when you get a pet, would you look for the cheapest venue and complain about prices if it was your child? That's what our pets are!!)

It has been just a little over 2 weeks since my 2 dogs, Bear and Koda, received dental cleanings from Dr. Bird. The procedures went extremely well, and both dogs have sparkling, beautiful smiles!! Bear had 2 extractions and his mouth has healed nicely. THANK YOU so much to Dr. Bird and the entire Terra Vista team... and thank you Sydney for explaining/showing me my dogs' dental x-rays! I'm definitely planning on staying with Terra Vista; so glad that my searching for the perfect vet/clinic is over. Bear, Koda and I love Dr. Bird and are so thankful for her expert veterinary skills. THANK YOU again Terra Vista!

I took my feline to this place as he was lethargic, had difficult swallowing, weak, with a poor appetite. The vet I saw was not very knowledgeable about felines and had no idea what could be wrong. After a brief 3 minute exam labs were done. Without a UA as he had peed in the pet carrier on the trip down there. The next day upon reviewing the labs this vet Emma Bird saw nothing alarming. But still insisted on a UA- I live 45 minutes away-- Traveling in 100 degrees back down there without a guarantee my cat would have a urine speciman was ludicrous! Emma Bird D.V.M. still had no answers and offered NOTHING to aid the symptoms of my ailing cat! Later that day my pet had difficulty walking I called to report this and still got the same BS about getting a UA. I suggested an antibiotic to treat any atypical underlying infection. Or possible Vestibular inner ear issue I WAS still declined. My evaluation of this place is NO accommodation, NO compassion, NO Caring! NO treatment! NO suggestions! NOTHING for pain, NOTHING for dizziness, NO appetite stimulant. NEGLIGENT in ABUNDANCE! NOTHING!! An office staff telling ME about PROTOCOL!?? I will NO longer bring any of my pets to this place!! $273 dollars later my pet is still ailing. My evaluation--- Don't take your felines here. This PLACE IS UNCARING AND literally FOR THE DOGS!

Between our families households we have many pets and we all come here and have for over 10 years. The whole staff is so good to my dogs and personable. Tiffany you're awesome. Dr Weigand, Dr May, and Dr Shearer have helped me/my dogs feel comfort in all situations. I'm forever grateful how you cared for buddy and after he passed i brought him in for my last time holding him and seeing him ever again and there was a lot of comfort knowing I was handing him over to you.

Found this place while looking for a new vet for my now angel baby. They are super quick to respond & try their best to accommodate you. we ended up bringing our cat in for a neuter & they have been constantly checking up on us. it's been scary ever since losing our dog (another office), but they really do a good job at calling your nerves!

Dr. May is a substandard vet. The first time I was concerned and questioned her as a vet was when she did a dental on my dog who has a heart issue and had a very hard time recovering afterwards. Come to find out very recently that she gave my dog propofol, which should not be given to cardiac patients. That was shared with me by one of the techs in her office. Next Dr. May removed a lipoma from my dog's chest and it never went away. She said she removed it, but it was still there. When I questioned her about it she said that sometimes they grow back. Um, the next day? I then had her seen by Dr. Liz who is amazing, but took a leave of absence, and Dr. Liz did an ultrasound and said it was a lipoma. Lastly, my other dog was seen in there two days ago for a lump on his back and I asked her if an ultrasound would be good to see what it was and she said that an X-ray would be better, and we would start there. She said a needle biopsy may sometimes not show anything and ultrasound might be too sensitive. She said the only definitive thing would be a biopsy under anesthesia to rule out a soft tissue sarcoma. Well come to find out from Pennmedicine.org and another veterinarian. X-rays only show osteosarcomas or metastasis. She should have done the ultrasound or needle biopsy. When I called to question her she got mean and said that I'm always complaining about something! MAYBE IF SHE WAS A GOOD VET, I would not have to do my own research and question everything she does. Also Terra Vista is now owned by a corporation and I asked her about that and she said that it happened about two years ago and that they don't need to tell patients that a corporation bought them. So basically, I had to pay for x-rays for nothing and I still don't have an answer at all, if my dog has a sarcoma or not. Now I'm going to take him to a good vet to make sure that my dog is going to stay alive. No thanks to her.
