The Citizen Hotel, Autograph Collection, is a charming and beautiful hotel located downtown, perfect for both work and leisure. Guests appreciate its great location, allowing easy access to many city attractions, including the Golden One Center, and being one block from K Street with plenty of food, drinks, and entertainment options. The hotel features friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms with great views, and interesting decor. Rooms are well furnished, have comfortable beds, and nice toiletries. While some minor issues were noted, such as no on-site parking and expensive valet, visitors enjoyed the great valet service and beautiful rooms, some of which were recently renovated. Overall, it is a recommended stay for anyone visiting the area.

We attended a UC Davis graduation in Sacramento and stayed at a hotel recommended by the school. Parking wasn’t available, so valet was required at $50 per night.

The interior of the hotel is beautiful—very European in style, thoughtfully designed with a great color scheme. The rooms are generally nice, but we ran into several issues. The sofa bed was dirty and the mattress was visibly stained, which we only discovered around midnight. The shower pressure was extremely strong to the point it felt like it could push you out of the shower, and it was also very loud, almost like it was straining to operate.
