American River Home Care provided excellent service for my 102 year old mother-in-law. They have friendly and knowledgeable staff. Mom was discharged from the hospital on Monday and Ruthie Bucu provided the initial physical therapy assessment on Tuesday and had Nurse Stacy on Thursday to go over the 3 medications that was prescribed. Physical Therapist Richard Chatoff worked with Mom on her leg exercises while on the bed and got her to stand up and walk with her walker. Occupational Therapist Anna worked on Mom's arm exercises. Mom liked both of them and she cooperated by performing the exercises.
I can only speak to the nurse that came to my house after my open heart surgery to replace a valve and repair two other valves. Harvinder was just the extraordinary. He was so personable, my wife and I actually looked forward to his visits. He always worked around my schedule and texted b4 he came so I could put my dogs away. (Although my dogs are friendly, they just wear you out, they will not leave you alone.) Anyway Harvinder is both professional and charismatic, quite a combination.
Although it was a tough time having my 97 year old father-in-law go on hospice in Rancho Cordova, CA, the team at American River Hospice under American River Healthcare made it so easy and smooth. From my first call to Emily in the office who patiently answered my questions regarding their services to Claudia, the community liaison, who helped start the process and worked smoothly with Mountain Manor to set up a special transport home and the whole process. She helped get all the needed equipment and supplies to make the transition home go easy. The visiting nurses, Tina, Haley, Renee and a couple more were all so informative, reassuring, and supportive. Very patient when we asked a lot of questions to make sure we were doing everything correctly. We also had an excellent home health aid, Albertina (Tina), who was awesome. Lovely visit by Brian - Social Worker in a Hawaiian shirt. They all provided such excellent service during such a stressful time. I can't recommend them enough.
