I always go in to get my hair lined up and the sides taken down and the lines through my eyebrow I have dreads and usually I come in with my hair braided. I've been coming to this shop a little over 4 years and every cut I get im satisfied with. I dont normally let people cut my hair when my hair is braided because the barber might cut the wrong strand of hair and that can mess the whole hair style up but with Jay the barber he's in the middle I never have to worry he always hooks me up.

How you doing people D-boys barbershop is the best place in the Bay Area where you can and will get your money's worth when you leave out your haircut will look like a million dollars

I rarely write reviews but felt the need to appreciate this well run business. This weekend I forgot that my regular barber in Berkeley was out of town for the weekend. So I decided to try the local barbershop because I live in the hilltop area. When I arrived to the shop immediately upon entering the shop I made my presence known to the 3 barbers cutting hair. All three of them were attentive I informed them of my situation and how I was in a bit of a jam and needed my hair cut. Jay (the barber who cuts in the middle) understood stated that the barbershop is usually by appointments but I could hang around and he will do his best to get me in between his clients. As I was waiting to see if I would be seen I enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere and very diverse clientele as well as the cleanliness of the entire shop. The entertainment between TV's, music and barbershop talk was very pleasant completely forgot I did not have an appointment. About 30 or 40 minutes go by Jay signals and says he has time for me. Very relieved that he took the time out to listen to my dilemma and understood how seriously I take my hair cut. I have only had 1 barber for the last 10 years and I was overly pleased with the craftsmanship and personal attention to detail Jay took with my haircut. Although he squeezed me in to see me if felt as if I had an appointment. Overall the entire atmosphere and vibe of this business I would recommend to my friends family and any strangers I know that need a nice barbershop to enjoy on a Saturday afternoon. If I could give 10 stars I would!
