DISAPPOINTED - I Do Not Recommend In April 2024 I hired Jeff Murdock (Murdock Tile) to inspect and if necessary correct 3-year-old floor tile work by a local contractor. Murdock's invoice notes that loose and cracked floor tiles on both stairs/hallway and kitchen were a result of "not enough mortar on the subfloor or back of tile." Murdoch re-grouted and replaced select stairs/hallway tiles ($4,500), but in the kitchen, after Murdock removed a cracked 24x24 floor tile, he suggested "to replace the complete kitchen floor with new tile that has proper backing." We needed to repair a rough cut initially made by our plumber to repair a shower. The shower is finished in large slab travertine. The initial hole was ragged and uneven. This was a small, but difficult job. Since we wanted it done right, we hired Jeff Murdock. Jeff's repair is meticulous, flawless and looks beautiful! Moreover, it is waterproof and built to last. The aesthetic result exceeded every expectation. He is truly a master craftsman and gentleman. It was a joy to work with him and Antonio. By the way, they also kept our home and the worksite very tidy in the process. Highly recommend! Superb work.
