About Bay Club Redondo Beach

While the open and airy layout of the club is appreciated, the reception experience has received mixed reviews. Some guests have noted a lack of warmth from the front desk staff, which has affected their initial impressions. Additionally, the quality of instruction in group classes has been a concern, with some members feeling that instructors prioritize their own workouts over proper guidance. However, personal training experiences, particularly with specific trainers, have been highlighted positively. The club has undergone recent renovations, including the remodeling of the classroom upstairs, and members have expressed their appreciation for the friendly staff, the excellent jacuzzi with jets, and the beautiful marina view.
Out of all the gyms I toured this was my favorite, if you live in west LA county I think this is peak. The amenities are loaded, the indoor and outdoor workout spaces are nice and spread out an clean. They also have coffee in the mornings, towels, and hygiene products. While the shower was a little sus, I think this is one of the best gyms in LA county and for an amazing deal. Highly Highly Highly recommend and I will be signing up again in the future. Although, the pricing is very cryptic and might be best to sign up in person. The vibes
I love swimming in the pool, however sometimes I feel like it's not warm enough. The lanes get full & sometimes you have to wait for your turn. The steam room has been broken for so long & don't know why it's taking so long to get fixed. They remodeled the classroom upstairs, but feel like they still run out of equipment. I don't know why they don't keep enough equipment handy for everyone that takes the class. They make good use of the turf area except they swapped the bikes from the weight area for body pump & feel like there's never enough shade for body pump now. I can't take the whole class with the sun shining in my face. It would be nice if they would just add more coverage, rather than letting some of us bake in the sun for a whole hour. I wish they would add more barre classes to the schedule & with better instructors too that know how to teach an actual barre class like is taught in barre studios. My favorite instructors are Murat & Robert Rose, since they really keep the class moving with his high energy & incorporates creative moves.
CONS:
1) Club closes at 7pm on weekends!
2) Pool is too Cold. barely heated
3) Can’t use Bikes 2 hours before club closes
4) Men’s shower area is stuffy and needs Ventilation. Toilet area is old.
5) NO Coffee in the evening ( only am)

Staff here is nicer than El Segundo Club
