Amazing! I've been to four classes now with Kari and she's wonderful. If you've never been to a barre class definitely arrive 15 mins early and let the instructor know. They sell grip socks at the studio, which you will need for class. Kari knew it was my first time at this studio and took the time to go over basic positions that she would refer to later in class. This made me feel a lot better as I was pretty nervous going in. I'm glad she took the time to explain what we would do in class and throughout the class came over to correct my form to prevent injuries. Could not have asked for a better experience as a first-time student.

I've been to 3 classes now and this is by far the best barre studio I've been to. I've previously been to 3 other studios. The instructors are very helpful, the pace is quick and music is always good! No class is the same, which is my favorite thing! The space is large enough to comfortably workout and the studio is always clean. Workout wise you will get quite the sweat since they do a great job of combining cardio, weight lifting and toning. I'm sore for days after one workout. They also offer different types of classes which you can see online. They provide all the equipment, only grip socks are needed. Beware first timers, it is difficult to find. You have to park in the back of the strip mall and enter through an employee door labeled with the studios name. There is always parking available though and not difficult to get in and out of.

My first time doing a barre class was here. Great unlimited 1 month deal for first time members ($75). Joined this studio in April and have really enjoyed the workouts here. Probably the only type of workout that I look forward to and not dread. I would say I burn around 350-450 calories per class depending on the amount of "cardio bursts" an instructor may have (each workout varies). There is a TV that displays your heart rate if you have a MyZone monitor. I appreciate that it is a full body workout that is low impact. No muscle group is excluded and you learn to embrace the burn/shakes! Who knew such small, tiny movements could have an effect on your muscles? I chuckled at the 2 and 3lb hand weights when I first saw them, but trust me it is enough to burn your arms out when the exercises are done with control and resistance during eccentric and concentric movements. I have seen an improvement in my upper body definition, flexibility, and core strength just from taking classes 2x/week. If I could, I would totally be doing barre every day. Because I grew to love barre I ended up attending a couple drop-in classes at Barre3 and PureBarre studios when I was out of state on vacation, and it made me realize how much more I appreciated Barre at CDR. In addition to the better workouts I have at Barre At CDR compared to the other studios, the friendliness of the people and instructors and lack of pretentiousness at CDR make it so much more valuable to me.
