About Shasta Regional Medical Center: Israel Elizabeth G MD
Shasta Regional Medical Center is a healthcare facility that has received mixed reviews. One patient praised the excellent care they received, with prompt medical attention, efficient testing, and a quick diagnosis. The staff, including the triage nurse, RN David, and Dr. Alvarez, were described as professional and kind. However, another patient had a very different experience, reporting rude behavior from the triage nurse and overhearing a nurse make an insensitive comment. Despite these negative experiences, the medical center was able to save the life of a patient who was admitted with serious medical issues, thanks to the quick diagnosis and treatment provided by Dr. Kent Bersett and his surgical team. Overall, the reviews suggest Shasta Regional Medical Center offers a range of services, with some patients receiving exceptional care, while others have encountered issues with the staff's bedside manner.
I went to another Hospital and got sent home. I called my PCP Primary Nurse Healthcare . and they referred me to go to Shasta Regional Medical Center. THE BEST EXPERIENCE in my life out of ANY hospital I have walked into. Very attentive, compassionate, friendly and positive. The atmosphere was very peaceful and not hectic like others. But the Staff ARE the best! Each and every one of them have passion for what they do! This will be my go to ER for the rest of my life! I live in Red Bluff and I will make sure I come back for any emergency for my family. They literally saved my life! So grateful to have them in our community.
ER experience was a disaster. The lack of professionalism astounding. I've been dealing with my daughter's chronic illness for over 27 years, had MANY ER visits, and this lack luster and frustrating experience, topped the absolute worst in every area of "care". I would quote what was overheard by my daughter (who they lost twice, while I was kept in the lobby with her necessary meds btw, even the security guard commented twice about me being kept waiting in the lobby, with no updates for over 2 hours solidly) but I digress, the staff comments that were overheard, I'm taking to Corporate and the lack of competent care for my daughter will go directly to the medical board, which I've never come close to doing, but this experience was just that horribly unbelievable.
I was admitted on August 4th with two cysts on my back. turns out I had MRSA. also find out that my heart liver and kidneys were shutting down I was full of water edema and was basically dying, one more day and I probably wouldn't be writing this. they got me in quick diagnosed it within a day. Dr Kent Bersett and his surgical team remove the cysts And basically saved me. If it wasn't for Shasta medical center and Dr Bersett probably wouldn't be here writing this. they took care of me 24/7 excellent staff excellent food. So once again I wanted to say thank you for saving my life and helped me live another day. Thank You!!!!🙏
