“The Tale of Two Beaus – and a Happy Ending!

My dog’s name is Beau (a Shepsky), and our new groomer is Beau Carranza — and what a wonderful match it turned out to be!

After being bathed elsewhere, our Beau came home unusually itchy and heavily perfumed. He scratched so much that in a week or so, he developed scabs on his back near his tail. We were concerned and hopeful for a better experience.

From the moment we arrived at The Grooming Cottage, Beau C was patient, gentle, and genuinely loving with our Beau. I appreciated being able to fill out an information card noting his sensitive skin issues so they were clearly documented.

Apparently, Beau doggie even uncharacteristically stepped into the tub using the provided steps — and after his bath, jumped right into Beau the groomer’s arms to get out! That alone told me he felt safe and cared for.

He was finished in less than an hour and a half, and I received a courtesy call letting me know he’d be ready in 15 minutes. Despite using an oatmeal-based shampoo for sensitive skin, he smelled wonderful — clean but not overpowering. He came home soft, fluffy, and comfortable… and with no skin rubbed off his nose (which has unfortunately happened twice at another groomer).

Most importantly, Beau Shepsky is sleeping peacefully again — no scratching, no irritation.

Needless to say, I scheduled his next appointment on the spot. We are so grateful to Beau Carranza and The Grooming Cottage for the care, attention, and kindness shown to our sweet boy. Highly recommend! ?“

Jesse is a full-on drama king with very loud opinions, and Kristy handles him with so much patience, kindness, and professionalism. She uses wonderful products, takes incredible care of him, and somehow always sends me home with a dog who looks (and smells) absolutely beautiful.
