Optimal Hyperbarics

Disclaimer: I normally write reviews in a purely informal narrative style, but for this review - because I believe so strongly in the scientific evidence and want others to know and benefit - this review drifted into nerdiness by my inclusion of three examples of the many scientific papers as evidence for my reasons for taking HBOT therapy. I went for a series of sessions following lumbar fusion surgery because a significant body of research shows pre-operative HBOT therapy can very significantly reduce post-operative complications (Hyperbaric Oxygen Preconditioning Can Reduce Postabdominoplasty Complications: A Retrospective Cohort Study (Friedman, T., et al., 2019), especially those horrible bone infections that aren't noticed for weeks to months after surgery, and to speed up healing (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in Orthopaedics: An Adjunct Therapy with an Emerging Role (Jeyaraman, M., et al., 2023). I was very impressed with Dan and Cherise for their professionalism and 100% attention to the entire process. Their attention to detail and professionalism meant even more to me considering HBOT therapy means being kept in a small container where, if you're claustrophobic, it can be stressful. To help with this, Dan always had a ready supply of television shows to watch during the process and in fact, he and I spent many a session watching TV together taking turns sharing movies we liked! Did I mention Dan's impeccable credentials for running a HBOT practice, for attention to detail is vital when it comes to managing high pressure oxygen systems? This is such a fantastic healing place. Dan is so knowledgable and everything is run so beautifully. We are going daily for wound care for me and stroke recovery for my husband and feel blessed that Optimal is available.

After 11 TIA's or minor strokes and 2 major strokes requiring an endarterectomy Hyperbarics brought my husband back from being nonverbal and low cognitive function.some call it a miracle we call it hyperbarics!
