Miss Linda has been an amazing teacher! She is so patient, kind and funny. I have really made progress from zero to playing several pieces. She is also very inclusive and listens to you. Being a person of color, i can relax in her presence. She loves beyond the exceptional music she teaches and has even shared her flowers with me.
My children have been taking music lessons from Linda Akre for four years. Linda is an exceptional educator and has provided individual music instruction in piano, ukelele, and voice to my children. Linda’s instruction is expansive, with a curriculum that spans music theory, history, composition and performance. Rather than flipping page-by-page through an Alfred’s Basic book, Linda provides her students with individually tailored musical pieces to learn based on the student’s interest, skill level and aptitude.
