I found Nancy after my new dog (4 y/o Yorkie) was showing a lot of aggression towards my resident dog (8 y/o Maltipoo). She was the only behavioralist trainer that didn’t do prong collars or e collars (which was important to me) and did not do treats but instead praise (I didn’t want to depend on treats forever). I have been having a lot of issues with my dogs and did not know how to handle the barking and the diss obedience. I googled for my area, a female trainer that specializes in barking, aggression, and general obedience. The first name that came up was Nancy Turnage. I read her reviews and saw that people said as soon as she walked in the door. Their dogs were totally different. They felt her energy and her taking charge. My dogs have never been that behaved ever. She sits down with you and explains everything about what it is all about having dogs and what they expect of us as being their parents. I had hired a dog trainer for my puppy who had used some approaches that made my dog become anxious and terrified. It left me feeling like I didn't know who to trust with my puppy.I had read good things about Bark Busters and gave Nancy a call and was encouraged from our conversation. In our first meeting, my dog instantly started to respond to training. She was attentive and focused and responsive. More importantly, Nancy trained me and my family how best to interact and keep our dog trained. She worked with us and encouraged us. She left us with homework and an a plan for our next appointment.
