I signed up for ADT roughly five or six years ago at about $80 a month. After three years, I wasn’t satisfied, terrible service, connection issues, and tried to cancel. They offered me a renewal at a lower service fee and promised two free cameras. When I finally canceled after more time of issues after issues, those “free” cameras cost me $750. I paid it, switched to month-to-month to avoid contracts, because why cancel after having to forcefully purchase the equipment, but when I moved houses this last month and tried to cancel again, I found out they had put me in a year-long promotional contract without my consent. I've been an ADT customer for nearly 10 years, and my experience has been riddled with issues. The panic button malfunctioned multiple times, false alarms led to police fines, and most recently, I discovered that my alarm system hadn't sent signals for nine months. ADT never informed me, and I was still charged during this period. When I reached out for a refund, I got zero resolution. Their lack of accountability and poor communication have completely destroyed my trust. I cannot recommend ADT to anyone.

I tried to have someone come out for a quote. Scheduling sent an installer with a pre built plan that included a bunch of expensive things they didn't ask me about, and the installer is unable to remove.I was anticipating $43/month and the installer quoted $90/month. My only solution is to reschedule and miss yet more work.Very disrespectful of customers' time
